Elli Chapman, Artsplan Trainer
Elli has been working in youth arts across the UK for over eleven years. A professionally qualified youth worker Elli began her career as a youth arts worker in a dedicated youth arts venue and as part of a community samba organisation, she then went on to work for 5 years as part of Norfolk’s Youth Music Action Zone and as Youth Arts Development Officer for Creative Arts East. She also worked as regional coordinator for Arts Award in the eastern region and is currently lead facilitator for the national BBC Blast on Tour.
As a freelance youth arts specialist Elli works extensively as a consultant, project manager and evaluator and regularly works with organisations such as Children’s Services, Her Majesty’s Prison Service, Connexions, Youth Music, local authorities, arts organisations and the Arts Council. Elli is particularly experienced working with “at risk” and difficult to engage groups of young people including young offenders, “looked after” young people and those disengaged from formal education.
Elli is trained as an opera singer and stage manager. She works regularly as a community musician, film and vocal tutor and is a lecturer of production and technical theatre at FE colleges in the east. She is an Arts Award Trainer and Moderator, Artsmark Validator and Artsplan Trainer.
