Gloria Garcia, Artsplan Trainer
Gloria is a Spanish singer-songwriter-dancer, who came to the UK in the year 2000 and works as a singing teacher, arts project manager and as a performer.
In 2003, she set up and coordinated Sound Singing, a project that offered singing and music production courses for young people, sponsored by Awards for All. During 2004-05, Gloria worked in Creative Spanish, a project funded by Creative Partnerships (Arts Council of England). In this project, Gloria led workshops teaching the Spanish language through the arts, mainly singing, dancing and drama, allowing the students to explore their own creativity, potential and imagination.
Gloria also teaches singing on a freelance basis for Thames Valley University, Slough Borough Council and various other organisations.
Since June 2006, Gloria works as a Marketing Officer and Theatre Coordinator at the West Wing Arts Centre in Slough.
