Sally-Anne Donaldson, Artsplan Trainer

Sally-Anne has a dual career as both performer and education consultant. Originally trained as a dancer, she now works in circus as an aerial artist for many different national companies. When she is on the ground, she manages a freelance career as a dance teacher and arts manager. Currently working as Community Arts Manager for a specialist school, she is soon to begin a new role as Dance Director for Dance United on their criminal justice programme.

Sally-Anne’s background in youth arts has included managing and developing projects for local arts organisations and councils. Since then she has been involved in statutory education, particularly in ‘Creative Learning’ strategic development and vocational support. This has involved working as a mentor and trainer for artist/school partnerships, including training teachers in new vocational qualification pathways in the arts.

Sally-Anne is experienced of working with a range of partners and organisations, including: Harlow District Council; Islington Arts Factory; The Tabernacle, Notting Hill; Central Foundation Girls’ School; Learning and Skills Development Agency; and CAPE UK. International work as a choreographer and dance teacher includes Lima, Peru, where she has recently returned for the fourth time, to continue involvement with the ‘Dance for Hope’ social development programme for young people.
