Accredited Courses
Accredited courses last six days and are delivered over a series of months in a variety of formats. Courses will be programmed for delivery at Artsplan Training Centres throughout the country and can also be bought in by organisations for delivery to up to 15 people. Participants have the option of gaining relevant work experience alongside the course via placements, though this is not compulsory. Students should arrange their own placement, but support form Artswork or the host organisation can be given.
Course members will evaluate sessions and reflect on their practice in the form of a journal, and a written assignment will be completed and submitted at the end of the course. Where participants have undertaken optional placements this written assignment will be based around the knowledge and skills gained through this practical experience. The experimental element of the course will require participants to discuss in detail (either individually or in small groups) their practical and relevant future plans.
There are now 2 courses available and both are accredited by Middlesex University, at level 2 (H.E.) with 20 credits. This formal accreditation is optional at the discretion of each individual student. Click on the course titles below for further details:
